Fr. Paul Gambling
The Rev. Paul Gambling “Fr. Paul” has been associated with St. Paul’s for about a quarter of a century. He styles himself as a “Pastoral Liturgist”, having a foot in the camps of counseling and instruction as well as the practice of liturgy. He is very happy to be part of the clergy team at St. Paul’s, even though he is “technically” retired.

Fr. Paul was born and raised in South Wales, and he was in his teens when his family emigrated to Canada, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in drama and english from the University of Saskatchewan, followed by an Associate's Degree in education from the same campus’ College of Education, following short periods pursuing teaching and working with the mentally handicapped, he received a Master of Divinity Degree from Huron College, London, Ontario. He has served in parishes in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Burin and Trinity East, also in Newfoundland, Petrolia in Ontario and Harkin’s Island in Michigan.

He moved with his wife, Nora, to Yuma, where she pursued her nursing career, and he soon became active at St. Paul’s. During the time he has lived in Yuma, besides being Associate Clergy, he has worked as chaplain to three Hospice organizations in Yuma, been supply priest within the diocese, Interim Rector at St. Paul’s and Priest in Charge to St. Peter and St. Paul, El Centro and Vicar of All Saints', Brawley. He has also been actively involved with Cursillo in the diocese, and has served for several years on the Secretariat.

Fr. Paul and Nora have two daughters, both known to the St. Paul’s congregation. Gwenllian works in Human Resources for the Thames Valley School Board of Education in London, Ontario, and Kathleen is a Detective Sergeant in the Kodiac, Alaska, Police Force.
